Our History
Springs Incorporated is a not for profit agency that was established in 1986 by a group of Sand Springs citizens who were concerned by the lack of community living options for adults with developmental disabilities. To date, Springs Inc. operates two group homes and serves people through programs such as Supported Living Program, Community Living Program and In Home Program.
Our Mission
Springs Incorporated is committed to the principle of normalization. Each individual, regardless of disability, is assisted in living a life consistent with the patterns and content experienced as typical by his/her peers. The individuals served by Springs Incorporated generally have a primary diagnosis of mental retardation and exhibit medical and behavioral stability. This ensures that each individual served may maximize his/her potential for independence. Being a part of the community, living within established neighborhoods and when possible working in employment positions alongside individuals without disabilities ensures this goal. Residential services for the developmentally disabled provide the framework for independent living. Springs Incorporated is contracted with and monitored by DHS and works in conjunction with Developmental Disabilities Services Division of DHS.
