What we are all about…

Springs Inc. currently serves four former Hissom Memorial Center consumers in the supported living program.  The agency provides staff, transportation and all other services necessary to these consumers, who otherwise live independent lives in privately owned or rental housing.

A Companion Living program provides full-time care for individuals with developmental disabilities in the caregiver’s home.  Each caregiver and his/her home are certified by DHS for services provision to each individual resident placement.  Springs Inc. would administer the services, as well as activity and transportation needs.

Community Living

Springs Inc.’s Community Living program is similar to its Supported Living program except that it provides services to individuals outside the Hissom class.  Staff, transportation and related supports are currently provided to 16 in privately-owned rental housing.

In-home support

Springs Inc. provides In-Home support staffing and transportation services to 14 individuals.  To meet its obligations, DHS has begun providing funds to persons with developmental disabilities not receiving full Medicaid waivers for part-time supports.   In turn, the agency contracts with the individual’s family to provide certain hours of staff, transportation and/or support services in an unrestricted manner.
